Single Phase Half Uncontrolled Rectifier with R & RL Load

In the Third image the circuit was constructed using Single phase, single diode and Resistive and inductive load. Since inductor have nature of storing the current for certain period of time based on time constant. When the diode was OFF during negative cycle the current stored in the inductor will discharge during negative cycle. The simulation result shows the response of half uncontrolled rectifier with RL load.

The Images shows the Matlab Simulink circuit for single phase half uncontrolled rectifier with R and RL load. In the first image the circuit was constructed using Single Source AC source with 50Hz, Diode and Resistive Load. After the simulation it is evident that the load voltage and load current are inphase with each other due to the resistive load. Since only one diode is used in the above circuit, only positive cycle will conduct and the negative will be terminated. The graph below, the first image shows simulation response of the half uncontrolled rectifier with Resistive load.
